Sister Barbara Carroll (Sister M. Cecile Collette)

July 10, 1926 - September 18, 2014

“You are precious and cherished in my eyes and I love you, ” were words Sister Barbara (Sister M. Cecile Collette) heard in the early evening of September 18th, as our God called her into the fullness of joy and eternal life. Sister Barbara was 88 years old and had celebrated 67 years of religious profession.

Sister Sally Thompson (Sister Mary Anselma)

March 24, 1926 - June 2, 2014

Sister Sally Thompson, SNJM, Sister Sally Thompson (Sister Mary Anselma) was welcomed into the loving arms of God the afternoon of June 2, 2014 surrounded by family members and her sisters in community. Sister Sally was 88 years old and had celebrated 69 years as a vowed member of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.

In 1990 Sister Sally wrote: 'I came. I loved. I died.' Indeed she came and loved.

Sister Rose Eleanor Ehret (Margaret Jean Ehret)

February 1, 1927 - May 21, 2014

Sister Rose Eleanor Ehret (Margaret Jean Ehret) entered the fullness of life on May 21, 2014. She was 87 years old and celebrated 67 years of religious profession as a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Sister Rose Eleanor was an outstanding professor of mathematics for 37 years at Holy Names University in Oakland. Her work and interest in mathematics extended beyond Holy Names. This was evidenced in her work with the State of California's Mathematics Council and helping to establish a new Math Framework for California's Public Schools.

Sister Josepha Rose Thompson (Patricia Ann Thompson)

May 13, 1927 - April 29, 2014

May I say with St. Theresa of the Child Jesus,

Sister Josepha Rose Thompson, SNJM (Patricia Ann Thompson) was called home by God very early and very quietly on the morning of April 29, 2014. She was 86 years old and celebrated 67 years of religious profession as a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
